We are experts in metrological services in the fields of balancing measurements on wind turbines and condition assessment and monitoring of engineering structures.

Rotor imbalances

The rotor is the first point of energy conversion. Imbalances on the rotor have an economic impact on profitability and a technical impact on the entire structure.

Deviations in the blade angles lead to yield losses and generate unnecessarily high loads.

Bridge monitoring

The condition of our infrastructure is critical in some places. There is a great need for action to maintain traffic safety and stability, especially on bridges.

The use of suitable measurement technology can significantly improve and simplify the assessment of the stability of bridges.

To this end, we have developed a measurement method that can record the load behaviour of bridges with high precision and detect deviations from standard behaviour at a very early stage.

Balance measurements on wind turbines

We can also detect rotor imbalances from the ground at forest locations.

We use a laser-based measuring system to detect aero-dynamic and mass-excited imbalances during regular operation of the turbine.

The results are available on site and can be used directly for correction.

Bridge monitoring

The key parameter for determining the condition of prestressed concrete beams is the deformation behaviour of the supporting structure.

We use our laser system to record the deformation and recovery behaviour of the targ structures. Changes are recognised at a very early stage, before cracks become visible on the concrete surfaces.

Component test for stress corrosion cracking

At the University of Luxembourg, we accompany destructive component tests on prestressed concrete beams.

The aim is to gain a better understanding of the behaviour of prestressed load-bearing structures in the event of stress corrosion cracking (SCC). We recorded the deformations dynamically with our dynamic measuring laser system and were able to gain valuable insights into the load-bearing behaviour in the event of damage.

Dynamic load test

The load behaviour of a bridge at risk of SPRK was to be recorded in a load test.

The deformations were recorded dynamically under a defined load. The measurements were carried out in moving traffic. It is not necessary to close the bridge for this type of measurement.
